COLLEGE FIRST.

I love how the Addams Family has ZERO slut-shaming. Like… honey you can dance naked and enslave someone with your womanly charms if you want to, I don’t fucking care, but so help me you’re going to get a college education first.
A+ PARENTING

The Addamses are what every family should aspire to be like (you know; without the dismemberment and electric chairs as play time).  Honestly, have you ever seen more unconditionally loving and supportive parents than Gomez and Morticia?  And not just with the kids, but with each other.  I think what’s especially unique about them is how open they are with everything.  They don’t treat their children like children.  They treat them like they treat everyone else; direct, and to the point.

It’s creepy how many good examples of parenting and romantic relationships there is in these characters, especially considering they are supposed to be the antithesis of the stereotypical American nuclear family.

S t e r e k   A U  ––  PARALLEL UNIVERSE.

Stiles, in a last ditch attempt to save everyone he loves after their gruesome deaths, ends up in a parallel universe where he died saving the Hales from the fire when he was ten years old.

My first attempt at a story gifset, ugh, this took forever.  But I couldn’t get the idea out of my head all day.  Feel free to write a fic(let) if it inspires.

"Derek, wait!" Stiles blurted out.
The desperation in his voice stopped Derek in his tracks. He glanced back. “Is this some sick joke you’re trying to play on me?”
"No joke," Stiles pleaded before trailing off, "I can explain if you give me the chance…"
Derek appeared hesitant. His expression conveyed both annoyance and curiosity. “You have two minutes. Better not waste my time.”
Relief donned Stiles’ face for a passing moment before a look of determination. “This is going to sound crazy, but- I’m not from here.”
"Obviously. I know almost everyone in Beacon Hills and I’ve nev-"
"That’s not what I mean. I am from Beacon Hills. A different Beacon Hills… I’m not from this dimension.”
Derek rolled his eyes, and turned once more to leave. “I don’t have time for this. Get off my land,” he barked at the youth.
Stiles chased after. He wasn’t going to give up. “I know it sounds crazy. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn’t believe me either, but please, just hear me out. In the parallel universe I’m from, your family died in that fire leaving you orphaned. I didn’t even know you at the time to have intervened. We didn’t meet until six years later.”
Derek was growing irritated that this kid was pestering him. He about faced and glared at him. “What do you want? Money? My mother will skin you alive if you’re trying to con us-“
"DEREK!" Stiles groaned. "I don’t want money. I want- I lost everything from the world I’m from. Everyone died. Scott… my dad… you. I was training to be an emissary. Deaton. Alan Deaton. Do you know him? A veterinarian?”
Derek scowled. “Of course, I know him. He’s my pack’s emissary. How do you know about that stuff?”
"Werewolves? Supernatural occurrences? I’ve lived it. Do you know Scott McCall?" Stiles pressed on. "Scott was my best friend since childhood. He worked with Deaton at the clinic, cleaning the kennels and feeding the animals."
"I’ve seen him around. Human. Good kid," Derek drawled. "What does that have to do with-"
"He got the bite in my world. After the fire and Talia died, your Uncle Peter became alpha. He bit Scott, and long story short, Scott became an alpha later. I was being trained by Deaton to be his emissary and you were teaching Scott how to command his pack when everything went to hell. Assassins, hunters, a shit storm came down on Beacon Hills and every supernatural creature became a target. Kate came back to finish what she started-"
"How do you know about Kate!" Derek hissed. He was growing more and more agitated by the second. "Came back to finish what she started?"
"She started the fire!" Stiles snapped. "She dated you as a teenager to get close to your family, and then she tried to wipe all of you out. The Argents are hunters. That’s what they do."
Derek seemed taken aback. “Kate started the fire?” he asked slowly. He looked as if he was starting to put things together in his mind.
"Didn’t you know that here?" Stiles replied with his own question.
Derek frowned. “We never figured out who did it,” he muttered. “How do you know so much about all this? The people that live here?”
"Because I’m Stiles Stilinski. I swear I am. After the war started and I lost everyone I cared about, Deaton gave me an incantation, told me to go to the Nemeton, spill my blood. We were desperate. He said it would wipe things clean and told me I’d have the chance to prevent it from happening all over again. He stayed back to hold them off so I’d have enough time. I did what he said, blacked out, and woke up here. Two days ago. I don’t think the spell simply wound back the clocks. I think it destroyed my universe entirely and placed me in this one so that I can prevent it from happening here."
Derek’s jaw hung ajar. He was gazing at Stiles as if the youth was insane. “Did you escape Eichen House or something?”
Stiles took it as a jab in the gut. Derek wasn’t listening. He wasn’t believing a word of it. Stiles eyes began to dampen. “You think I’m crazy. You don’t believe me…” he trailed off. “I thought- of everyone, you’d believe me. That’s why I came here looking for you…”
"Why am I so important to you?" Derek inquired. "Why would I believe you?"
Stiles wiped his eyes, although it did nothing to prevent the tears that followed. “Where I’m from, we were- we were lovers.” Derek’s expression softened as he listened. “You died in my arms. I tried to save you. I did. I tried so hard, but you sacrificed yourself for me. I guess it’s fitting. In this universe, I sacrificed myself to save you and your family, and in mine you did the same for me and my dad. It was all for nothing. He died, too. Everyone did- I thought you’d believe me. I thought since we had a deep connection in my world, you might somehow feel it here and know I’m telling the truth. I guess it doesn’t work like that.”
The boy paused to steady himself. He used the back of his hand to touch away the tears from his cheeks. “I’m not crazy,” he sobbed. “I’ve lived through hell to get here; to prevent the people I love from dying all over again. Please- I’m begging you. Ask Deaton about the spell capable of doing this. I’ll wait here. Just ask him.”
Derek searched his eyes and saw so much pain. If this kid claiming to be Stiles was lying, he was certainly very good at it. Derek was having a difficult time discerning if he was being honest or not. He seemed to believe his own story. That much was evident.
"Okay, look. I’ll humor you, but we’re going to talk to Deaton together. I’m not leaving you here this close to my home. I don’t know who you are or what you’re capable of. You’re telling wild stories of things that haven’t transpired yet, and basically that you have enough magic to rip apart the fabric of time and space. That means you have the potential to be very dangerous and I can’t risk my family’s safety by leaving you on your own."
Stiles looked hopeful, but chose not to disclose the extent of his emissary power. Even he didn’t truly know the limits of his magic. He’d learned not only how to manipulate the forces of nature, but also the darker aspects of the Druid craft, having discovered the Darach manuscripts left by Jennifer.
He nodded and fell in step with Derek as they made their way back toward the town. He prayed that Alan could confirm his story, or at least the possibility that he could be telling the truth.

So yeah, obviously this gif set inspired me. I will probably write a chapter fic for this because my mind is filled with ideas. Parallel universe au’s are pretty cool and this could be the start of an epic story. Have a few things I need to finish first, but yeah, I like this a lot.
